I am not sure yet, as I am not weighing in again until week four, but I do feel as if I may have plateau’d a bit.  I feel as if my weight has remained the same all week.

In order to change things up a bit, I am going to cut out some of the chocolate bars I have gotten in the past.  Although these bars are only about 200 calories, I typically eat them for enjoyment and not because I am hungry.

Just a Quick Program Change

Based on my overall success and progress, I think it is important that I continue NOT to work out for the first thirty days of the program.  If, by the end of the program, I have not met my goal of 200lbs, I will consider extending the program and adding regular workouts to the mix.

Week Two Recap: First Weigh In

The Starbucks Diet: Day Fifteen

Based on my weight when I had my physical, which was 217.8lbs, I have lost 6.4lbs or 3.2lbs per week.  I am very happy with the progress I have made.  My goal is to get down to about 200lbs.

I have not worked out at all since I began the program.  I am curious as to how much weight I could lose without working out at all. I will be considering whether or not to institute this change over the next couple of days.

My appetite is way down and if not for my love of chocolate, I would probably not eat as much as I currently am.  My energy level is up slightly and I feel better overall.

I will be posting before and after documents from my doctor approximately one week after the program ends.

So far so good. I am not going to weigh myself just yet, but I am already able to see and feel some differences.

It is very important that everyone understands how THEIR body gains and loses weight.  Why? you ask.  Because if you are looking for the wrong signs, you can easily become frustrated and quit, when you were actually making good progress.

Unfortunately, I have my first concern and issue with the program.  I am a night owl and as such, I like to eat later than most people.  This is not normally an issue, but I have noticed two problems with eating late on this program.

Firstly, it appears that it is standard operating procedure to shut off the oven at 8pm.  This means that if I am craving a fresh, hot panini, I am out of luck!

Eating more and craving less

Just a short post today.  When I started this diet program it was important to me that I was not going to starve myself and I have kept that promise.

Over the past couple days, I have found that I am not as hungry as I was in the beggining of the program. Although, I am still consuming two items with each coffee, I feel full and almost as if I have eaten too much.

I am going to keep listening to my body.  If I am hungry, I will eat, but I am going to be sure to monitor how I feel after my meals.

I spent a lot of time with my kids today and it is amazing how different they are from another.  Cole is four and Brooke will be three in May.  I am sure it has been well documented and studied thoroughly, but I am always amazed at how different siblings can be.

One very noticeable difference is their eating habits and preferences.  The reason it intrigues me is that both children are given the same foods at the same time for the most part and yet they are almost exact opposites of one another.

Today seemed to be more about temptation than anything else.  The weight scale I bought yesterday did not come with the single 9 volt battery necessary to power it, so I was forced to go to the grocery store to pick one up (Seriously... Come on HoMedics, including a generic battery is par for the course!).  

One unforeseen benefit of this program is that I do not have buy any food from the store.  Having to buy my food only from Starbucks’ stores limits my amount of choices which in turns wastes less of my mental energy.  I know, I know, it doesn’t seem like much, but how many of you have found yourself in the chips and cookies isle for 10 minutes trying to decide which one of the hundreds of products you were going to buy.
